TRADE-UP PROGRAM
On October 9, 2003, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing will introduce
the new NexGen $20 Bill. The redesigned currency is safer, smarter
and more secure: Safer because it is harder to fake and easier to
check; Smarter to stay ahead of tech-savvy counterfeiters; and More
Secure to protect the integrity of U.S. currency.
The
most noticeable difference in the new design is the subtle introduction
of background color, which makes it more burdensome for potential
counterfeiters because it add complexity to the note. The color
will also make it easier to distinguish between denominations, because
different background colors will be used for each denomination.
MEI
Series 2000 bill validators are flash memory programmable so the
bill sets can easily be changed as new currency becomes available.
MEI
and Suzo-Happ are pleased to offer a trade-up credit towards
the purchase of an AE 2600 Series or an AE2800 series bill validator.
To qualify for the trade-up credit, simply contact your Suzo-Happ
Sales representative to arrange for the return of your AL4/VFM4,
GL5/VFM5 or LE3800.
